Overhauled tanker returns to Pearl Beach
The Pearl Beach rural fire brigade has had its Category 1 Heavy Tanker returned after it underwent a thorough overhaul.
The overhaul included the reconditioning of the engine and transmission, the installation of emergency heat shields in the cab, and the addition of new beacons and siren control unit.
It also included improved worklights, and the incorporation of new RFS reflective panels to enhance our visibility to other road users.
The upgrades aimed to significantly improve the overall functionality and safety of the vehicle.
Throughout the maintenance period, the brigade was loaned a temporary replacement vehicle from the district fleet.
